This is Zak Staniszewski. I am going to be a winter-over for the South Pole Telescope in Antarctica. My position has me living and working at the geographic South Pole from January 5th 2007 to November 1st 2007. I figured that I would create this account a couple weeks early so that I could give people the blog's address.

In 2004 I spent a month working on a different telescope called ACBAR. This picture is from that trip.
